Voice of the Mirror: Boris Johnson ousted for good reason and still unfit to govern

Boris Johnson dishonored his office during his time as Prime Minister, but some Tory MPs are now hoping to put him back at No 10 following the resignation of Liz Truss< /p> Boris Johnson's return would be an insult to the families of Covid victims jpg The return of Boris Johnson would be an insult to the families of the victims of the Covid (

Still not fit to rule

The fact that the Tories are even considering reinstalling Boris Johnson as leader tells you how far the party has strayed from reality.

The ousted prime minister was ousted earlier this year - by them - for good reason.

He had dishonored his office with his immoral behavior and failure to speak the truth. He was not fit to rule then and he is not fit to rule now.

Bringing him back would be an insult to all the families who mourned loved ones while he was busy partying in Downing Street.

Although Johnson faces a parliamentary inquiry into his alleged dishonesty, he should be barred from any Cabinet post, let alone Prime Minister.

After Liz Truss' disastrous premiership, the country desperately needs a leader who can bring stability and confidence. Mr. Johnson would only bring more disorder.

Conservatives are also quick to wrap themselves in the Union Jack. Now is the time for them to do their patriotic duty by making sure Johnson is away from the ballot.
