Court documents show Ms Vardy was ordered to pay 90% of Ms Rooney's legal costs.

< p class="ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph eq5iqo00">An initial payment of £800,000 is to be made before November 15, according to court documents.

Earlier this year a High Court judge ruled in favor of Ms Rooney following the so -called Wagatha Christie trial.

Ms Rooney's legal team have yet to produce the final total of her costs, but the latest figure presented to the court was £1,667,860 - and 90% of that amount would be £1.5m if left unchanged.

Ms Rooney incurred total costs of over £2m £350,000 had already accrued before the trial in May, so these were removed from the figure his legal team presented to the court.

Ms Rooney had argued that she should be paid 100%, while Ms Vardy had asked to pay 80%.

The order is to contribute to the costs incurred and is not a defamation payment - as it was Ms Vardy who was suing for defamation and her claim was unsuccessful.

Ms Rooney therefore received no defamation payment.
