George Galloway attacked Labor and the Conservatives in his first speech in the House of Commons on his return to Parliament, saying most people "feel the desire for a blight on their two bedrooms."

The leader of the Labor Party and the Conservative Workers' Party of Great Britain criticized the chancellor's budget, calling it an "absolute nothing burger" that would not help Rochdale, the city he represents today.

During his first appearance in the House of Commons since taking the oath of allegiance to the king. and took his seat, Mr Galloway also paid tribute to his Labor predecessor, Sir Tony Lloyd, whose death from cancer triggered the by-election which led to his victory.
