When going to work no longer gives you enough to live on, and when kids grow up without the basics, change is needed.

This summer has been surreal. We have a country in crisis and two people vying to lead it by promising to revive the very ideology that got us into this mess.

Thatcherism has led to the sale of our water, gas, electricity, homes, buses and trains and has driven up the price of these essentials to the point where millions of people can no longer afford them.

When prices skyrocketed, service levels went down. August brought chaos to our trains and raw sewage to our beaches.
