Liz Truss has been ordered to 'come out of hiding' after wreaking havoc on the markets with her disastrous mini-budget.

The Prime Minister has been in office for less than a month and is already facing the prospect of a humiliating reversal in his financial plan.

Tory MPs are reportedly furious with Ms Truss over her 'bet' on the mini budget, fearing it will 'crash the economy'.

Some conservatives have already submitted letters of censure to the new prime minister.

Instead of defending her deeply unpopular plan, Ms Truss has been missing since her Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng presented the government's mini-budget in the Commons on Friday.

Keith Brown, Deputy Leader of the Scottish National Party, added: "As the pound continues to fall, Britain's desperate Prime Minister appears to have vanished without a trace.

"It's amazing that Liz Truss hasn't made a single public appearance or statement since last Friday.

"It's time for her to come out of hiding and at least pretend to lead the country through this self-inflicted crisis."

Ms. Truss has not spoken in public since she gave a speech at the UN a week ago.

His address to the General Assembly took place during the “graveyard slot” and went largely unnoticed.

She has been missing since Mr Kwarteng's speech in Parliament on Friday.
