Winter's Eve in Lincoln Square is over

Winter's Eve at Lincoln Square is New York's biggest Christmas party.

The festival is usually held on the Monday after Thanksgiving weekend. The sidewalks and public spaces of Lincoln Square come alive with music, performers, processional bands, jugglers, stilt walkers, food tastings and more.

Monday, December 2, 2019 ~ Ronnie Spector and the Ronettes headline this year's tree lighting ceremony on Broadway from Columbus Circle to 70th Street from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. rain or shine).

Nathan & the Zydeco Cha Chas play New Orleans Creole music from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Grupo Rebolu plays Colombian tropical music from 8-9pm.

Richard Tucker Park Scene

Alicia Svigals' Klezmer Fiddle Express plays European Jewish music from 6-7:15 p.m.

1900 Broadway

Mariachi Nuevo Mexico plays Mexican mariachi sets at 6 p.m., 7:15 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.

Bed bath and beyond

Salvadoran violinist Monica Portillo performs all evening

Frey Plaza

Fusha Dance Company performs dances from the African Diaspora throughout the evening. La Rueda de Casino de Fuákata dances Cuban salsa throughout the evening

19th Annual Lincoln Square Winter Vigil 2018

The Winter's Eve at Lincoln Square street fair takes place on Broadway from Columbus Circle at 70th St on Manhattan's Upper West Side on Monday, November 26, 2018 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. FREE

Folk music legends Judy Collins and Arlo Guthrie are emcees and headliners. There are over 20 free live shows and activities.

Judy Collins is known for her hits Both Sides Now, Send in the Clowns and Amazing Grace. Her latest single Dreamers tells her story from the perspective of the mother of a DACA dreamer.

Arlo Guthrie and the Guthrie family will lead the Upper West Side's only Christmas tree lighting ceremony on the Main Stage at Dante Park on Broadway between 63rd and 64th Streets.

The ceremony kicks off the event and will be televised on Channel 7 WABC. Frank London's Klezmer Allstars and Latin boogaloo band Spanglish Fly will keep the fun going.

Maurice "Mobetta" Brown performs on stage at the American Folk Art Museum on Columbus Ave between 65th and 66th Streets.

Theo Croker and The Nashville Attitude perform on Columbus Avenue.

The Coffee What? The band and DJ Tom Macari will get you moving at the TD Bank Dance Tent on 62nd Street near Columbus Ave.

The Lucy Yeghiazryan Trio perform on the second floor of The Shops at Columbus Circle.

Combo Chimbita plays Colombian cumbia at the David Rubenstein Atrium.

A Steinway self-playing Spirio piano performs at the Apple Store on Broadway and 67th Street.

Bolivian dance group FFC Caporales Universitarios San Simon New York joins the Dance Parade dance troupes at Frey Plaza on Broadway between 60th and 61st Streets.

There will be more touring performers and low cost food tastings.
