Woman throws computer screen at gate agent after missing flight in chaotic footage

Chaos ensued at Miami International Airport this week when a woman threw a computer screen at a gate agent in an apparent public meltdown, documented by multiple social media users .

The woman, identified as Camila McMillie, 25, caused the scene at gate D-39 on Tuesday afternoon when she noticed her children had wandered off to use the bathroom without her knowledge.

At the time, McMillie was in the process of rebooking a flight she had missed en route from Birmingham, Alabama to New York.

She can be seen on video demanding that gate agents find her children before she starts screaming, fussing and removing boarding pass equipment from the gate counter - before finally lift the computer screen from the gate counter and throw it at the gate agent.

In another video, McMillie is detained by officers as she attempts to climb over and over the door counter while passengers videotape the ordeal.

“Once the subject noticed that the children were not with her, she became furious and began to scream, asking the gate agent to find her children,” police said, according to CBS Miami reports.

Other clips show McMillie pacing and screaming as a crowd of passengers surround her. She begins to conceal parts of the check-in area at the gate and knock equipment to the floor.

Miami Airport Anger / Woman Arrested at MIA Collapses for Damaging Computers

American Airlines has acknowledged the incident and provided support for the gate agent who sustained bruising to his shoulder after being hit with the monitor.

“Acts of violence against our crew members are not tolerated by American Airlines and we are committed to working closely with law enforcement in their investigation,” the airline said in a statement. . "Our thoughts are with our team members and making sure they have the support they need at this time."

McMillie is currently facing charges of aggravated assault, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.
