The versatile player, who retired from the West Indies this year , hit 52 of 37 undefeated balls in the Strikers' 147-5.

She then threw a young double-wicketed girl on her first stint to help reduce the Sixers to 16-4 at North Sydney Oval.

Darcie Brown claimed 2-15, including Sixers captain Ellyse Perry for 33, as the Sixers were knocked out for 137.

Dottin, who finished 2-30 and was named player of the game, said, "It means a lot to me."

Adelaide Strikers, who beat Brisbane Heat in the Challenger on Friday to reach the final, were runners-up two times over the past three seasons.

Striking captain Tahlia McGrath said, "Last year , we suffered and fell short at the last hurdle. It pushed us this season.
