You don't need a lemon to clean your microwave
For some reason, every microwave cleaning guide we've published includes using a lemon or lemon juice. It's not that shocking; the citric acid contained in lemons has antimicrobial properties and lemons give a good smell. Somewhat ironically, they're also loved by the "chemical-free" crowd (even though fruit is incredibly complex chemically), and they feel healthy and natural, which is why lemon water feels healthier than plain water (it doesn't).
