Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) creator Yuga Labs has warned that there could soon be a “coordinated attack” targeting multiple non-fungible token (NFT) communities.

The NFT Company told Twitter followers on Tuesday that its security team was tracking a “persistent threat group” targeting the NFT community through compromised social media accounts, urging followers to be on the lookout.< /p>

This is not the first time that the company has warned its community about a possible attack by hackers on social networks.

Not the first, not the last

In June, Gordon Goner, pseudonymous co-founder of Yuga Labs, issued a warning about a possible incoming attack on his Twitter social media accounts.

Shortly after the warning, Twitter officials began monitoring account activity and tightening their existing security. Goner told investors that the company would never perform surprise operations, a popular method used by attackers to lure victims.
