With just days to go until Prime Day 2026 begins in Australia, it’s no surprise that the first deals have already begun, with Amazon’s own subscription services starring in the opening act.
You can now get three free months of Kindle Unlimited and Audible if you’re a new or returning customer of either or both services, which is fantastic news for avid readers.
This is the best Prime Day deal of my books (pardon the pun) because, as a voracious reader who has challenged herself to read more than 60 books in the calendar year (I usually average around 30), three free months of Kindle Unlimited are sure to help. Yes, I myself signed up for Kindle Unlimited as a loyal customer, hoping to discover undiscovered gems in my favorite genres of history, fantasy, and mythology.
So instead of the usual 30-day free trial, you get an extended three-month free trial, but keep in mind that this won’t include an additional 30 days – the initial trial period becomes null and void in these circumstances.
This is still a good deal, as you save at least two months of subscription cost, which is AU$27.98 (or AU$13.99 p/m) for Kindle Unlimited and AU$17.98 (or AU$8.99 p/m) for Audible.
Note that these early Prime Day deals – like all other Prime deals – require a Prime membership to qualify. In fact, you won’t even see these deals on Amazon if you’re not signed in with a Prime account. If you have a standard Amazon account, you’ll find Kindle Unlimited at half price (AU$6.99/m) for three months.
Again, it appears that opting for this half-price deal voids the standard 30-day free trial, as it’s presented as a separate sign-up option for non-Prime members. So definitely take advantage of this great offer as a Prime subscriber.
The best early bird deal I can see for non-Prime members is four free months of Music Unlimited, and it’s an even better deal, especially if you listen more than read. Not only does a Music Unlimited subscription give you ad-free HD streaming access to millions of songs, but there are also hundreds of thousands of podcasts and audiobooks.
If you’ve never signed up for a Prime membership before, you can take advantage of a 30-day free trial of Amazon Prime to access this year’s Prime Day deals. You get the same benefits as paying members, including free delivery on thousands of eligible products and access to other services like Prime Video, Prime Music, Prime Gaming and more. You can cancel at any time during the trial period to avoid paying the regular fee of AU$9.99 per month. Simply click one of the buttons below to register now.
