Hundreds of football fans in various parts of Gaza watched the Argentina-Egypt World Cup match on Tuesday among the ruins of destroyed buildings.
Many waved flags for Egypt, which shares a border with the war-torn enclave and was one of the mediators in ceasefire negotiations between Hamas and Israel.
The match ended 3–2 and Argentina advanced to the quarterfinals.
