Tallaght AC’s Rhasidat Adeleke reached European Championship standard for the 200m at Morton Stadium this afternoon.
The Dubliner set a championship record time of 22.80 seconds when winning the 200m final at the 123.ie Senior National Athletics Championships.
Fast Twitch’s Amy Foster was second in 23.49 seconds, while Ratoath AC’s Lorena Harrison was third in 24.61 seconds.
It was mission accomplished for Rhasidat Adeleke who won the Irish National Championships in the 200m in 22.80 (-1.1 m/s), securing the qualifying standard (22.85) for next month’s European Championships.

Newport AC’s Sharlene Mawdsley was injured during the 200m final.
The ‘A’ standard for next month’s European Championships in Birmingham is 22.85 seconds.
