Halle Berry Was ‘Solo and Single’ for Four Years

In an exclusive conversation with The Times, Berry revealed that after being married and divorced three times, she felt the need to take some time to reflect. During this period, she remained single and unmarried.
“I was alone and single for four years. I had to really sit down and be alone and grow up and think and realize my worth,” she said.
Following this period of deep reflection, the “X-Men” actress came to the conclusion that even though she never found The One, she was “sufficient” in herself. She listed some of the things she had to be grateful for, including her children, her career and an “embarrassment of wealth”, which was “more than enough” for her.

“I had to go through fire and burn to come to appreciate a person like him. I was a moth to a flame. I am not that person anymore,” she recalls with joy.
She also opened up about her struggles with intimacy, which ultimately turned out to be premenopausal symptoms. In his words:
“Sex started to feel like I had razor blades in my vagina. I finally had this incredible man in my life, and that part started to feel right for me. And then I had this problem and I thought, ‘There’s something terribly, terribly wrong here.'”

Berry’s reluctance to walk down the aisle holds true, as she’s already said “yes” three times in the past. She was first married to David Justice in 1993, but their marriage collapsed three years later and they finalized their divorce in 1997.
Last year, Justice opened up about their marriage, noting that they both had different ideas about marriage before they got married.
While he expected a more traditional woman who would cook and clean, the “Catwoman” star was too busy with her career to focus on being simple, according to The Blast.
The former baseball player acknowledged that while therapy might have saved their marriage, they were both too wrapped up in their individual affairs to devote enough time and attention to their marriage.

Halle Berry apparently hit back at the law with a steamy birthday message

Shortly after Justice commented on her marriage to Berry, the “Bruised” actress shared an anniversary post on Instagram, showing off bikini photos as she posed with Hunt.
The carousel featured photos of Berry laughing while holding a coconut and, in the final slide, a cake. The post’s caption read: “Whew…! Cooking, cleaning and mothering.”
This seemed to be a response to Justice’s statements that Berry wasn’t “motherly” enough. Fans were quick to notice, and several of them applauded the actress for her clapback.
“I knew you would roll your eyes with this one and release something smooth, and you DID!” one fan wrote, according to The Blast.
Halle Berry boldly called out politicians for criticizing key menopause bill

A few months after Berry seemingly responded to her ex-husband, she took the stage at the New York Times Dealbook Summit, where she openly advocated for women’s health.
According to The Blast, she highlighted the difficulties women often face related to menopause and directly challenged California Governor Gavin Newsom.
She criticized him for vetoing a menopause bill that could have played a key role in transforming women’s health.
According to Berry, Newsom neglected and “devalued” women and noted that he “probably” should not be the next president.
