Travel with a new luxury river cruise line that offers passengers their own personal butler

When Crystal Cruises collapsed in 2022, German hotel group Seaside Collection saw a expansion opportunity and decided to purchase five of Crystal's luxury river vessels.

These acquisitions have seen their portfolio grow by almost 50%. And now Seaside is not only the proud owner of eleven boutique hotels in destinations such as the Maldives and the Canary Islands, they have also added five luxury floating hotels to their name.

Running a successful hotel group is one thing; launching a river cruise company is a whole different ball game. Riverside's ambition is to be a leading player in the ultra luxury market, offering the best wine and cuisine on the rivers.

Their first ship to set sail was the Riverside Mozart and I jumped on board to check it out.
