Newcastle finalize Sandro Tonali deal

Newcastle have finalized and confirmed the transfer of Sandro Tonali from AC Milan.

The Italy international leaves Serie A with 130 appearances at the age of 23, a remarkable top-flight experience for such a young age. He played in all 12 Champions League games last season as the Rossoneri reached the semi-finals of UEFA's elite competition.

The Magpies have agreed to pay 70 million euros, including markups, to the midfielder whose arrival at St. James' Park should give Bruno Guimaraes more freedom.

Understandably, this has sparked a lot of speculation about his future, especially with Liverpool reportedly trying to add another midfielder after signing Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai.

The 32-year-old Spaniard has endured a torrid time at Anfield with one injury after another, and the Merseysiders allowing him to leave as part of their midfield rebuild should certainly not be ruled out at this stage.
