“May the days be endless… Let the seasons drift… Don't advance the action by plan.” Netflix has unveiled the first trailer for Noah Baumbach's new film < em>White Noise, which will premiere at the Venice Film Festival 2022. It is his highly anticipated sequel to Marriage Story, which also premiered in Venice and has garnered six Oscar nominations (and one win). This time, Netflix gave it a larger budget. Based on Don DeLillo's book, White Noise depicts a contemporary American family's attempts to navigate the mundane conflicts of everyday life while grappling with the universal mysteries of love, of death and the possibility of happiness in an uncertain world. The title refers to an industrial accident that triggers an "airborne toxic event". The ensemble cast: Adam Driver, Greta Gerwig, Don Cheadle, Raffey Cassidy, Sam Nivola, May Nivola, Lars Eidinger, Andre Benjamin, Jodie Turner-Smith. It looks awesome! Almost like an eco-disaster movie, something unexpected and different from Baumbach.
