Ten mutts rescued from a dog meat farm in South Korea are looking forward to their first Christmas with British families.

Jindo Baloo, Tsuki, Bunty, Jinsoo, Lumi, Molly, Basil, Moby, Cooper and Yuki breeds were among 65 dogs rescued by Humane Society International and local group LIFE.

Chimney Farm International Dog Rescue in Hampshire found the owners after they arrived in April.

Sangkyung Lee of HSI Korea said, "If we couldn't have saved them, they probably would have all been killed and eaten by now."

Sarah Edwards, from Endon, Staffs, adopted Millie from a previous HSI rescue and has now taken in Yuki.

And Elaine Muggerridge, of Hook, Hants, said Bunty is "gaining confidence".
