Akili today announced the official release of its new product, EndeavorOTC. The mobile game is an FDA-cleared version of EndeavorRX of the same name, based on the same technology. But while EndeavorRX is available for children ages 8-12 with a prescription, EndeavorOTC is available for adults 18 and older without a prescription.

The developer recently announced that clinical trials of EndeavorOTC found it "improved concentration, attention, and overall quality of life in adults struggling with symptoms of ADHD." 83% of participants reported improved focus and 73% reported improved quality of life and ability to multi-task.

EndeavorOTC offers a drug-free treatment option for adults with symptoms of ADHD. Duane Gordon, President of the Attention Deficit Disorder Association, said of the technology, “New, easily accessible treatments are needed to effectively support adults with ADHD. I'm excited to see new technology being used to develop a unique approach to treatment, and video game treatment is a fun and engaging way to empower adults with ADHD."

Eddie Martucci, CEO of Akili, said in a statement, "EndeavorOTC's core technology has helped thousands of children with ADHD, and has recently been shown to significantly help adults in our clinical trial to improve their focus, time management and organizational skills, and their ability to keep track of important things. We are excited to make EndeavorOTC available to adults who can benefit from it."
