Arsenal consider two transfers as Arteta's side 'track' Chelsea target and Premier League defender

According to reports, Arsenal are among the clubs considering the move of Yunus Musah from Valencia and Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace before this summer.

The Gunners have performed superbly this season challenging Manchester City for the Premier League title.

But Arsenal now look set to finish second after their four-game league winless streak. As things stand, City will move four points clear at the top if they win the last game in progress.

Some Arsenal fans will be disappointed if they don't win the title, but this season should still be watched with emotion even if they have to settle for second place.

Their performances in recent games make it clear that Arsenal need to go from strength to strength this summer. There is currently too much of a drop in quality between the club's first-team stars and the squad's players.

Arsenal are heavily linked with West Ham's Declan Rice, who could cost up to £100m this summer. But Fabrizio Romano revealed that they had "been following Musah since January".

"I mentioned Arsenal and Chelsea's interest in Yunus Musah and it is true that they have been following Musah since January; Inter too," Romano told Caught Offside.

"At the moment it's just scouting and not yet advanced, but Musah has a good chance of moving this summer."

The 20-year-old previously played for Arsenal between 2012 and 2019. He left the Premier League club before he could make his senior debut, but he has shone for Valencia in recent years.

Speaking last November, Jack Wilshere admitted Arsenal were "disappointed to lose" Musah.

"There's young Yunus Musah in midfield, who really looks the part even though he won't be 20 until next week," Wilshere told The Sun.

"We had him at Arsenal from the age of nine until he was 16, when he moved to Spain for family reasons and joined Valencia.

"He is a boy who has traveled a lot, having also lived in the United States and Italy, which has contributed to his football education.

"My Arsenal Under-18 assistant manager Adam Birchall always tells me what a good player he was in our academy - and how disappointed they were to lose him. But that's life."

Romano also revealed that Arsenal are 'watching' Guehi.

"There is nothing advanced with Arsenal and Marc Guehi, but they are monitoring it, it's just normal scouting. No decision has been made and there is nothing concrete about it. stadium on Guehi but many big clubs are following him."

This comes amid disturbing performances by Rob Holding alongside Gabriel Magalhaes in recent weeks.

Guehi (22) has been one of Palace's best players this season and has been capped three times for England.
