Graffiti artist Banksy has emerged to confirm responsibility for an artwork that appeared on the side of a building in war-torn Ukraine.

Speculation is rife that the anonymous artist visited the country after a series of murals appeared in the town of Borodyanka, near the capital Kyiv.

One of these murals depicts a man resembling Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin being knocked down by a youth during a judo contest, while a second shows two children using a metal tank trap as a seesaw.

This was, however, a third mural to which Banksy appears to have named after sharing three images of it on his Instagram account.

The footage in question, which is simply captioned "Borodyanka, Ukraine", shows a gymnast balancing on her hands on top of an exploded building.
