Bella Thorne Says Disney Channel Almost Fired Her For Wearing A Bikini At The Beach At 14

Bella Thorne was a Disney Channel staple for many years, but the "Shake It Up" star “apparently almost lost her job when she was 14.

During Tuesday's episode of Emily Ratajkowski, Thorne brought up numerous instances where she felt sexualized as a young girl.

"I once almost got fired from Disney Channel because I was 14 and that I was wearing a two-piece on the beach," Thorne said. "This stylist I was hanging out with put this chain on me which is, like, a body chain. I don't know? I don't care . There was a fan, they took a picture of me on the beach. I almost got fired. It was all over the media, it was literally viral at the time. It was, 'How does this Did little girl dare to do this? It's so disgusting.'"

Thorne, who starred opposite Zendaya in "Shake It Up" from 2010 to 2013, has explained that people were "putting pressure on Disney" to fire her, but ultimately they didn't. "They were like, 'Hey, we're getting a lot of heat for this. Everybody's hot for that because you're in a bikini on a beach, so she has to make sure she wears boy shorts and a loose t-shirt next time she's at the beach.'"< /p>

During the episode, the 25-year-old actor also recounted a disturbing situation that arose four years ago.

"I had a director give me feedback once and I was 10 year. The casting director calls my agent and the agent calls my mom, and they're like, 'So she's not moving on because the director felt like she was flirting with him, and it really pissed him off. comfortable," Thorne said. "What are you talking about, man? ! I don't give a fuck about what I said! I don't care if I say, "Eat my pussy right now!" She's 10. Why would you think that?"
