Benzema 'doing so much better' ahead of France World Cup - Camavinga

Karim Benzema is 'doing much better' as he battles to be one hundred percent healthy for France's World Cup campaign, in line with Real Madrid team-mate Eduardo Camavinga.

Benzema won his first Ballon d'Or last month after Real Madrid claimed La Liga and Champions League glory in the 2021-22 season, but has suffered a damaged marketing campaign to date .

The striker has started 11 games in all competitions this season, scoring six dreams, but he spent time on the sidelines with a knee injury before similarly running out of furniture after being affected by fatigue muscle in his left quadriceps.

However, with less than a week to go until France kick off their Group D campaign against Australia, Camavinga is excited about his team-mate's recovery.

"He is better. He is so much better," Camavinga told RMC Sport. "I even have a great meeting with him, he allows me a lot at Real Madrid.

"He is a truly amazing player who deserves what is happening to him. I wish he could be equipped for the World Cup.

"Sometimes when he's in good shape, he invites me to see me and says, 'If I really have the ball, you'll try this run or that run', so he recommends the right time to me.

“He also tells me to live in function. He is excellent in communication, he is a pacesetter.”

France are trying to establish themselves as the first kingdom to stage the World Cup since Brazil in 1962, but Didier Deschamps' side have been beset by terrible fortunes attacking the front, with N' Golo Kante and Paul Pogba misses the match.

In the absence of these veterans of the 2018 World Cup victory, Camavinga is expected to pair Madrid team-mate Aurélien Tchouameni with a new French midfielder, but he has no reservations about their lack of enjoyment.< /p>

"Criticism is a part of existence. We don't have the same fun, but we can't wait to show what we're worth," Camavinga said.

"With our enthusiasm and the experience of the alumni, this can make a great mix."

Meanwhile, Deschamps called Eintracht Frankfurt ahead of Randal Kolo Muani after Christopher Nkunku was injured on Tuesday.

Nkunku was ruled out of the World Cup after dropping out of school with a leg injury, but his absence gave Muani - the eight-goal scorer for Eintracht this season - the opportunity to participate in his first important tournament.
