Two teams facing off at the foot of Ykkonen's table, KPV will host Jaro in Kokkola on Saturday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts managing to make what was a crucial comeback to victory last week, KPV will be desperate to use that performance as a platform to build on. Eventually claiming a 3-0 defeat at JaPS, Christian Sund's men will now be hoping for back-to-back wins at Ykkonen since mid-February. Knowing they need a small miracle in their bid to make it to the top in 2023, the Greens should also be concerned about their continued struggles at home. Last seen in front of their own fans having a nightmare as they were battered by a 4-0 at the hands of HIFK earlier in the month, the Sound side have remarkably won just one victory over his previous nine consecutive clashes at the Kokkolan Keskuskentta – a run that dates back to February 24. With that rut highlighted by a 4-2 loss to Mikkeli in the July opener, it's also worth noting that KPV have seen five of their last six home matches end with over 2.5 goals.

As for the visitors, although Jaro was able to claim a crucial boost earlier in the month with a 3-2 victory at KaPa, it seems that was only a small boost thumbs up for Stephen Ward's struggling side. Last seen putting on another pessimistic display as they crumbled to a 2-0 home loss to Mikkeli, the Reds have recorded just one win in one of their seven last consecutive Ykkonen appearances - a streak dating back to June 11. With their protracted struggle highlighted by a 4-0 win against TPS Turku a fortnight ago, Jaro has certainly earned a reputation for his glaring problems at the back. As well as scoring eight goals in their last three domestic games, Ward's men have also failed to put together a single clean sheet on their travels since the start of February. Likewise, it's worth noting that with Jaro seeing each of his last six away encounters end with over 1.5 goals, we expect a similar result here.
