Brad Pitt Explains Why He Wore a Skirt on the 'Bullet Train' Carpet: 'We're All Gonna Die, So Be Careful'

took a moment to comment on her recent fashion escapades at the Los Angeles premiere of "Bullet Train" on Monday night.

The actor has made quite an impression as he continues the global action movie promotional circuit, making headlines last week for wearing a linen skirt to the film's German premiere.

Pitt gave the best explanation he could for the inspiration behind the look.

"I don't know! We're all going to die, so let's screw this up," Pitt told Variety's's Marc Malkin.

The star didn't wear a skirt for the film's Los Angeles premiere, but instead wore a roomy green suit complemented by a teal undershirt and bright yellow sneakers.

"Bullet Train" stars Pitt as a hitman who must fight his way through a train full of dangerous killers, played by actors like Bad Bunny, Joey King, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Brian Tyree Henry. The group discovers that all of their assignments overlap and things spiral out of control from there. 'Deadpool 2' and 'Atomic Blonde' director David Leitch helms the action flick.

Though the violence is almost relentless in “Bullet Train,” Pitt said he was happy to entrust some dangerous moments in the production to a professional stuntman.

"I'm trying to pull it off. I like a stuntman," Pitt said. "This one was an action comedy, something I've never done before. David and I have always been huge Jackie Chan fans. We've been talking about him for decades. He's kind of our Buster Keaton. He is so talented and even underrated. Just doing something in that direction was what really appealed to me. »

Pitt also shared that he was able to avoid injury while filming the film, although some of his partners weren't so lucky.

"I certainly went home and said, 'Owwwww', but no!" Pitt exclaimed. “But Aaron on the other hand. Brian on the other hand! Young people, you know?"

“Bullet Train” hits theaters this Friday.
