British Airways: Firefighters tackle in-flight blaze

A British Airways plane caught fire after flying from London to Copenhagen.

Dramatic footage shared on social media showed firefighters rushing to hose down the plane as everyone alighted from the Airbus A320-232 on Wednesday without injury, British Airways confirmed.

Gabe Gudgel of Oklahoma City, who was supposed to be on the flight, said, "We were waiting to board our flight and it was delayed a few minutes.

"Then, as the plane had landed and was approaching our gate, the wheel burst into flames and wouldn't stop smoking.

"That's when fire engines and ambulances all surrounded the plane and began to hose it down. I believe everyone on the plane got out safe and sound.
