Britons could face fines worth hundreds of pounds if caught on the train to urinate in the sea off the coast of Spain.< /p>

Lawmakers in Vigo, a city in the Galicia region, have said anyone found in relieving herself "in the sea or on the beach" would be forced to pay £645.

City Council has called public urination an "offence minor" and "violation of hygiene and sanitary rules".

City officials plan to install public toilets on the beaches during high season to accommodate bathers rushing to the toilets.

But the city council said it could go further than imposing fines to people who have urinated ans la mer.

The crackdown came just after Spain said swimwear should beware when next visiting the beach, saying authorities would fine anyone improperly dressed in the street .
