In light of FTX's liquidity crunch and Binance's near takeover, Binance CEO Changpeng "CZ" Zhao assured his community that his network would provide full transparency on holdings.< /p>

On November 10, Binance released a new page called "Proof of Assets" where full details are available on its on-chain activity for its hot and cold wallet addresses. This comes just two days after CZ's initial tweet on Nov. 8 in which he pledged to create a proof-of-reserve mechanism to provide "full transparency" to the community.

Binance has released an official statement on the new page in which it says this is the next step in its "commitment to transparency and fostering trust in the ecosystem", but also that it is not just a starting point.

The end goal is to create proof of Merkle Tree funds, which will be shared with the community in the following weeks, according to the exchange.

"Our goal is to enable users of our platform to be informed and make informed decisions that align with their financial goals."

The announcement also included a snapshot of hot and cold wallet addresses from November 10, 2022 around 00:00 UTC.
