Britons of all ages and walks of life are demanding: "Freeze our energy bills now!"

Across the country, people are speaking with one voice: they need help paying their energy bills now.

The message is the same from the north and the south of the country, from the left and the right and from the young and the old.

They fear having to choose between heating or eating.

They worry about their jobs, their homes, and their health.

But their biggest fear is not getting the help they desperately need. Labor leader Keir Starmer has called for an immediate freeze on the energy price cap.

Trade unions, hospital leaders and charities have all expressed alarm at the crisis about to hit households across Britain.

Even the bosses of the energy companies have asked the government to do more.
