Building a sustainable food house in the trailer for 'Greenhouse By Joost'

Greenhouse By Joost Trailer

“Who knew it would actually be so hard to do the right thing?” Yes indeed… Madman Films has released the trailer for a documentary film titled < em>Greenhouse By Joost, which premieres this month at the Melbourne Film Festival in Australia. This Australian documentary follows a florist/entrepreneur named Joost Bakker who decides to attempt the impossible - build a home with 100% sustainable, non-toxic materials that recycle, reuse and grow everything in one place. Joost Bakker studies what it would be like to grow all the food you need, leaving no waste, right on your doorstep. Extending a lifetime of zero-waste activism, visionary designer Joost designs the "Future Food System" (official site), a self-sufficient residence that provides shelter, food and energy while reusing by-products. It reminds me of the documentary The Biggest Little Farm where they learn how remarkably difficult it is to be biodynamic and sustainable, it takes a lot of work. But it may be possible! I'm curious to know.
