A London junction with bizarre road markings has left motorists and sat-navs baffled.

The junction to the south of London Bridge features a "ridiculous" hodgepodge of instructions for road users, with about six separate arrows, three "Bus Gate" markings, a bicycle icon and a group of overlapping lines.

It seems the confusion stems from the fact that the old markings weren't properly removed before the new ones in the outline Labor Mayor of London Sadiq Khan's Streetspace 2020 being painted over.

Mr Khan's plan at the start of the pandemic meant cars were in large part frozen and that only pedestrians, buses, bicycles and black taxis could use the bridge on weekdays.

This crossroads in central London, south of London Bridge, puzzled many motorists
