Chaos as Hearts vs Almeria friendly abandoned after punches and squared coaches

Almeria led 1-0 in the first half thanks to an early strike from Dyego Sousa before things got worse and descended into chaos.

Hearts are currently on holiday in Marbella, which is a popular destination for UK and European clubs during the winter break. They will resume their league campaign against Kilmarnock on December 17.

Robbie Neilson's men had previously lost 4-0 to friendly opponents Blackburn Rovers while in Spain, while Almeria lost 1-0 to Sturm Graz the day before their game.

It remains to be seen whether any disciplinary action will be taken against either club, although given that the match was not in UEFA competition it seems unlikely that both clubs be punished.
