Chrissy Teigen Says She Realized Losing a Baby Was an Abortion

Chrissy Teigen explained how she realized losing her baby during pregnancy two years ago was an abortion rather than a miscarriage.
The American model revealed in 2020 that she lost a baby at 20 weeks, following a pregnancy complication.
At the time, the loss was described as a miscarriage, and she shared touching photos from her hospital bedside.
She now says that 'she had to make "difficult and heartbreaking" decisions after learning that the child would not survive.
"It became very clear halfway through that he wouldn't survive and neither would I survive without any medical intervention," Teigen explained.
She said she had noonly recently accepted the procedure as "a life-saving abortion for a baby who had absolutely no chance".
Teigen, who is married to the singer John Legend, was speaking at a conference following the United States Supreme Court's recent decision to overturn the Roe vs. Wade decision, which allowed states to block access to abortion. /p>'I felt like an idiot'
The TV personality said she discussed the decision with Legend, and expressed her sympathy for people who must make the decision to have an abortion, when her husband made it clear to her that she had in fact been one of those people.
