Fleetwood Mac singer-songwriter Christine McVie dies aged 79

Christine McVie, who performed with Fleetwood Mac and wrote some of their most famous songs, has died at the age of 79 years old, announced his family.

The British singer-songwriter was behind hits such as Little Lies, Everywhere, Don't Stop, Say You Love Me and Songbird .

She died peacefully in a hospital with her family, according to a statement.

McVie left Fleetwood Mac after 28 years in 1998 but returned in 2014.

The family statement read "we would like everyone to keep Christine in her heart and remembers the life of an incredible human being and universally loved revered musician."

Born Christine Perfect, McVie married the bassist of Fleetwood Mac and John McVie joined the group in the early 1970s.
