"Howdy, do you know me?" Bleecker Street Films has unveiled an official trailer for the beloved romance A Love Song, a super indie comedy-drama sweet marking the making of Max Walker-Silverman's feature film debut. It was one of the most talked about films at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, earning praise from many critics across the board. It's a quirky, sweet little parable about love and loneliness, with touches of Wes Anderson. Two widowed friends, Faye and Lito, spend a night together by a lake in the mountains of Colorado. It was filmed on location near Telluride, Colorado. With Dale Dickey in one of his best roles and Wes Studi, with Michelle Wilson, Benja K. Thomas, John Way and Marty Grace Dennis. If this trailer doesn't get you, nothing will. It shares the warm atmosphere of this charming little film.

At a campground in the rural west, a woman (Dale Dickey) waits alone for the arrival of an old flame from her past, unsure of her intentions yet coy about hers. A Love Song is both written and directed by American filmmaker Max Walker-Silverman, making his directorial debut after a few other shorts before. It is produced by Jesse Hope, Dan Janvey and Max Walker-Silverman. This first premiered at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, and it also screened at the Berlin and Seattle Film Festivals (where it won Best Performance). Bleecker Street will debut A Love Song by Max Walker-Silverman in select US theaters starting July 29, 2022 this summer. Who is interested?
