DIY tool makes it easy to wrap wiring harnesses

If you're making a lot of wire harnesses, packing them can get a bit cumbersome. [Well Done Tips] wanted to make this process easier and built a wire harness wrapping machine.

The "C" shape of this wrapping machine means you can wrap wires that are still attached at one or both ends, because you don't have to pull the threads all the way through the machine. The plastic “C” rotates inside a series of pulleys, three of which are driven by a belt connected to an electric motor. A foot pedal operates the motor and the speed is controlled by a rotary dial on the motor controller board.

Because it's battery powered, you can wrap the wires virtually anywhere without needing to be near a wall outlet. This little machine seems to be really great if you need to wind a ton of yarn and shouldn't be too complicated to build. These are some of our favorite hacks.
