The minister is assessing measures that could make it more difficult for claimants to challenge the decisions of public bodies to successfully prosecuted the government, according to a Ministry of Justice (MoJ) document.

“You [Mr. Raab] have indicated that you wish to consult on further judicial review reforms,” the document seen by The Guardian reportedly stated.

The document states that the document goes on to make suggestions for changes Mr. Raab wants "subject to your initial policy directions and the outcome me of any consultation".

The proposed changes in the document range from dictating the criteria that judges should apply in cases to increased financial burden if parties are found to lack standing.

Labour pounced on document - Shadow Justice Secretary Steve Reed saying the changes reported showed the government believes "the law only applies to little people".
