Easyjet reveals which passengers are least likely to be excluded from an overbooked flight

Every year, tens of thousands of people with valid airline tickets are kicked off their flights because that they have been overbooked.

Overbooking is not illegal and every airline does it to maximize revenue – because there is almost a zero percent chance that every passenger will present at his flight. .

In the event that all ticket holders show up for an overbooked flight, the airline will ask for volunteers to be rerouted. If there are no volunteers, the airline will select passengers who will be denied boarding or disembarkation.

Easyjet revealed that those who have booked a package holiday with easyJet Holidays are less likely to be ''.

The company said in a statement: "Our ground staff receives advice on which customer groups to try and avoid choosing not to travel in the event that an insufficient number of volunteers come forward during an aircraft decommissioning, which includes a number of groups such as those requiring assistance and, where possible, customers.'
