Elijah Wood joins the All-Star cast of 'Yellowjackets' Season 2

The second season of "Yellowjackets" is getting more and more starry (and scary!). The show has a lot to address after the shocking Season 1 finale, which reveals Lottie (Courtney Eaton) as Queen Antler in 1996 and shows how Jackie (Ella Purnell) froze to death in the woods. We still have a lot of questions, and it looks like Season 2 is ready to give us some answers.

As the series heads into the second episode, there have been some major cast updates. On August 11, Showtime announced that the Emmy-nominated series was adding Lauren Ambrose to the cast to play the adult version of Van. Ambrose first shot to fame on "Six Feet Under" and recently appeared on AppleTV+'s "Servant." Liv Hewson, who plays the 1990s version of Van, is also promoted to series regular.

"Yellowjackets" announced a new cast addition on social media on August 17, revealing that "Obi-Wan Kenobi" actor Simone Kessell will play adult Lottie in season two. Kessell recently starred as Princess Leia's adoptive mother, Breha Organa, in the Star Wars series, and previously played Blackbeard's (Taika Waititi) mother in "Our Flag Means Death." In light of the latest news on the "Yellowjackets" cast, it's possible other adult versions of the show's football team members will appear in the second season.
