Emma Raducanu storms Yanina Wickmayer's test to reach Korea Open quarters

Wickmayer reached the semi-finals of the US Open in 2009 and the fourth round at Wimbledon two years later but, at 32, her best years seem to be behind her and Raducanu has proven too demanding an obstacle to progress to the last eight.

With her year as Grand Slam champion now in the rearview mirror, Raducanu has dropped out of the world top 50 and has her work cut out for her to regain the form that saw her burst onto the scene last year . The young girl will not have taken it to heart, however, as she has pledged to wipe the slate clean after her year in the spotlight.
