It found "widespread" discrimination " in English and Welsh cricket.

Knight said: "I started playing cricket in a men's club and I was asked, 'Do you do the ironing for men when you're done?'

"Now I'm leading my teammates past an almost full house with 85,000 tickets sold for the entire series. a long way to go."

The 317-page report, produced by the Independent Commission for Fairness in Cricket (ICEC), found that there was racism, sexism, classism and elitism in sport in England and Wales.

Knight was among those who submitted evidence to the ICEC.

When asked if she thought he was realistic to expect the report's 44 recommendations to be delivered by cricket stakeholders, Knight was reserved with her response.

"Potentially. Working for them is very important," she told a press conference ahead of England's T20 game against Australia at Edgbaston, as part of their multi-format Ashes series. p>

"For all of us, what's in there came as no surprise, especially on sports feminine. I believe that after writing this report, cricket can lead the way in being fairer, more diverse and more inclusive.

"As far as women's football is concerned, the priority is to put in place the structures to give equal opportunities - to have a young girl who has the same chances as a young boy, that is- ie in terms of facilities, training, support, whatever be.

"Getting this path and a professional structure in the right place will make the women's game sustainable."

Cross fit and decision on Sciver-Brunt

Australia lead the multi-format Ashes 4-0 in points after claiming an 89-point victory over England in the Test match segment of the series on Monday.

To regain the ashes of Australia, England must win five of the remaining six games - three one-day internationals follow the three T20s, each worth colon.

Nat Sciver-Brunt will be fit enough to play in the first T20 as a batter, but a decision will be made on her ability to play in the game.
