A former soldier has regretted a lifetime lottery win after claiming he was 'cheated' by a clairvoyant and his life spiraling out of control.

Mark Lipsham's life was transformed in 2017 when he pocketed the winning numbers in the Aukland Powerball, securing £10million in prize money.

In the weeks leading up to his victory, the New Zealand father-of-two claimed he started "dreaming about the numbers" he wrote down and used for the winning ticket.

The 53-year-old Mark quit his job as a truck driver the very next day, but for him that's where it all went wrong, reports .

He recalls, "I found it very difficult and it led me to problems - problems with myself because I wasn't functioning the way I always functioned."

He told news.com.au he was soon struggling with "depression, stress and frustration" as people began to harass him for money.

But unaccustomed to this amount of money, he had trouble knowing what he was going to do with it.

In October 2019, Mark was introduced to a psychic "who apparently knew about money".

Thinking that Kim Helmbright was a financial expert, he would have trusted her.
