Lewis Hamilton has admitted he would like to see changes to the new tire allocation rules, with the Briton keen to reduce the number of rain tires carried by each team.

A new tire allocation was discussed in the paddock after practice, with riders reducing their number from 11 sets over the weekend to 13 in a bid to reduce usage.

There will also be a test format in qualifying later today, with drivers forced to use hard tires in Q1, medium in Q2 and soft tires in Q3.

: "We only had one tire for this session. This change is not an ideal format for this weekend.

"It just means we race less, not ideal. There are a lot of wet tires they throw away after every weekend.

"Maybe they should consider something like that rather than spending time on the track away from the fans."
