FIFA allocates $209m in compensation to clubs with players at Qatar 2022

October 11 – FIFA has opened the financial compensation process for clubs whose players will participate in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The Club Benefits program will see $209 million distributed to clubs around the world. In 2018, following the World Cup in Russia, 416 clubs from 63 member associations benefited from the programme.
