First Look at Eco Doc 'Deep Rising' Teaser Narrated by Jason Momoa

"4,000 meters under the ocean, another energy revolution is underway." A festival teaser has been released for a documentary film titled Deep Rising, the 'one of our most scheduled premieres at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival. It debuts in the Premieres section, an important documentary about climate change and environmental destruction. The festival description sets it up: the fate of the planet's last untouched wilderness, the deep ocean, is threatened as a secret organization is about to authorize the massive mining of metals from the seabed to deal with the global energy crisis. It's actually another environmental crisis brewing, with companies poised to mine unique "polymetallic nodules" that lie on the ocean floor, particularly a large area of ​​the Pacific Ocean. The doc is narrated by Jason Momoa, who tells us why they're so important, what's going on with them and the companies trying to reach them, and why we should care. This is a documentary to watch when it premieres at Sundance, I have a feeling it will be worth watching.

Deep Rising is produced and directed by Canadian filmmaker Matthieu Rytz, who previously directed Anote's Ark em>.
