First look at kid-friendly horror 'Spirit Halloween: The Movie'

"A pop-up Halloween shop in a spooky location?" "Awesome!" File it under "huh?" You know those Halloween stores that pop up in abandoned places and sell costumes and other bric-a-brac? Spirit Halloween stores, they're called, and you've probably passed a couple of them. Maybe even five or six. They decided to make an entire movie - Spirit Halloween: The Movie - which is pretty much just a glorified feature that will hit theaters in October. When a new Spirit Halloween store opens in a deserted mall, three college friends who think they've outgrown tricks or treats dare to spend the night locked up on Halloween. But they soon discover that it is haunted by an angry evil spirit who has possessed all the creepy animatronics. With Christopher Lloyd and Rachael Leigh Cook, with Donavan Colan, Dylan Frankel, Jaiden Smith and Marissa Reyes. It looks a lot more like a full trailer than just a teaser. It also looks like they ripped off the success of "Stranger Things" just so they could sell more stuff and make some money.

When a brand new Spirit Halloween store pops up in an abandoned mall, three college buddies who think they've outgrown tricks or treats dare to spend the night locked inside. interior of the store on Halloween night. But they soon discover that the store is haunted by an angry evil spirit who has possessed the creepy animatronic characters there. Kids embark on a thrilling and spooky adventure to survive the night and avoid becoming possessed themselves. Spirit Halloween: The Movie is directed by new filmmaker David Poag, who is making his directorial debut with this after a few other shorts and some film work before that. The screenplay is written by Billie Bates. It is produced by Noor Ahmed, Michael Hagerty and Shannon Houchins. Strike Back Studios will release Poag's Spirit Halloween in theaters starting October 11, 2022 this spooky season. For more information, visit the official website.
