First Look at 'Montreal Girls' Poetic Coming of Age Trailer

Montreal Girls Teaser Trailer

"Are you…doctor, are you feeling well?" Filmoption Intl. unveiled the first festival trailer for a new Quebec initiation film titled Montreal Girls, marking the first narrative feature from filmmaker Patricia Chica. It will premiere in a few weeks at the Cinequest Film Festival, although no US distributor has yet been set. A Middle Eastern medical student new to Montreal puts his relationship with his father in jeopardy when he quits his studies after being changed forever by two young women who "shatter" his limited beliefs in himself and in his fate. The film stars newcomer Hakim Brahimi, alongside Jasmina Parent and Sana Asad, along with Jade Hassoune, Nahéma Ricci and Manuel Tadros. The brief synopsis only vaguely mentions "his fate" but this trailer teases that he involves the underground scene and slam poetry and who knows what else. It looks really rough around the edges, hope the movie is better than the teaser.
