First trailer for the 3D documentary “Anselm” by Wim Wenders about the artist Anselm Kiefer

"People seek levity because they avoid burdens. That's why levity exists." Janus Films + Sideshow have unveiled an official US trailer for the documentary film < em>Anselm, directed by German director Wim Wenders (who also Perfect Days this year). This premiere (in 3D!) premiered at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival in May, and it's also screening at the Telluride Film Festival this week. This trailer was released for its Telluride debut, though the film won't hit theaters until December. Wenders' Anselm document is about Anselm Kiefer: one of the greatest contemporary artists. Its past and present blur the boundary between film and painting, providing a unique cinematic experience that delves deep into an artist's work and reveals their life path. Wenders follows his path from his German roots to France, examining his life and works. It was shot in 3D and 6K resolution which will provide a mesmerizing experience watching this on the big screen. I've heard great things about it from my colleagues, and it really does feel like a moving movie.
