First UK trailer for British romance 'Rye Lane' premieres at Sundance

"Sometimes you just gotta see what's going on, just… go where the breeze takes you." Searchlight Pictures UK has unveiled the first official trailer for the independent film Rye Lane, which is one of our most anticipated premieres at the upcoming 2023 Sundance Film Festival this month. It's filmmaker Raine Allen Miller's feature debut, with the vibes of another Before Sunrise-esque meets a lovely modern romantic comedy. Two 20-somethings reeling from bad breakups come to terms with their nightmarish exes and hook up during a turbulent day in south London. Starring Vivian Oparah and David Jonsson as Yas and Dom. It turns into "a day of impulsive, joyous mayhem, as these two Londoners in their twenties navigate Peckham through karaoke bars and playgrounds, while getting closer to the possibility of opening at their hearts again". It looks even better than I expected!! I have a feeling this will be an instant favorite when it debuts.

From director Raine Allen-Miller, her feature debut Rye Lane is a romantic comedy starring Vivian Oparah (Class, The Rebel) and David Jonsson (Industry, Deep State), as Yas and Dom, two in their twenties, both reeling from bad breakups, who hook up during a turbulent day in south London - helping each other cope with their nightmarish exes and potentially restore their faith in romance. Rye Lane is directed by rising British filmmaker Raine Allen Miller, who is making her directorial debut after a few shorts and music videos before. The screenplay is written by Nathan Bryon and Tom Melia. Produced by Yvonne Isimeme Ibazebo and Damian Jones. This premieres at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival this month. Searchlight Pictures will stream Rye Lane on Hulu in the US from March 31, 2023. It will also hit theaters in the UK. First impression? Do you look good?
