A woman who claims she was groped by a Tory mayoral candidate says she has filed a formal complaint about him.

TV producer Daisy Goodwin has accused Daniel Korski, a former assistant to David Cameron, of inappropriately touching her during a meeting in Downing Street ten years ago.

Mr. Korski said that was "categorically" untrue and pledged to stay in the running to become the Conservative candidate for mayor of London.

He said he told the party about the allegation during the interview process.

Ms Goodwin has named Mr Korski in articles she has written for The Times and Daily Mail, and now says she has lodged a complaint with the Cabinet Office.

She posted a screenshot on Instagram appearing to show a Cabinet Office email receipt of her complaint.

The subject line of the email was: "Formal complaint regarding Daniel Korski Urgent".

The Times also reported that Ms Goodwin called the Cabinet Office on Tuesday to lodge a complaint, in addition to sending an email.

“Trying to complain to the Cabinet Office is more difficult than having a BT engineer come to your house in the same lunar month,” she told the newspaper.

The Cabinet Office today declined to confirm whether a formal complaint had been made.

Children and Families Minister Claire Coutinho said she had suspended her support for Mr Korski and said any complaints should be investigated "promptly".< /p>
